24 May 2010 : Bedong Recycle Factory on Fire...

After been a mentally torture session since 9am after 3 hours nap, finally I gave up to continue because it make no sense. Because of my "last-min" behavior, yup, I deserve it. I rushing my assignments without take breakfast and two "kuih" made by my mom as lunch (coz it very easy to eat when rush on time". By 4.15pm, I just settled references for 1 of 3 HRM reports. Fed up and give up. Nobody to blame but myself. Then I go for a shower and ready to out to down for some businesses. After shower, I called my friend to borrow his bike, and he asked : "Is't need for responding fire?" I answered:"Huh? Fire? what fire?" then I listen loud sound of siren. Then I asked him:" Our fire engine responding?" He answered yes. Then my CRSM walkie-talkie is calling, "More people needed, the fire is huge and hard to cover, location Bedong, just after the police station" What in my mind was : "Again?!"

My very nice friend bring his bike till my house, then let me ride to the fire scene. In the middle of way, I can see the mass black smoke going up to the sky. I was thinking: " OMG! Another nightmare for Bedong?!" When I reached there, our engines is pumping river water and support to the frontline. And many VFD engines were there as well. Then I ride deep into it. Just drop off my tension, is not a danger fire, is recycle factory fire which burning the wastage. However all fire teams is putting best effort to control the fire to avoid it getting worse.

By about less than half hour, the fire getting under-controlled. Luckily no peoples hurt and didn't cause the massive lost and lost of accommodation to public citizen.

16 April 2010 - Tmn Desa Jaya Stor on Fire

A typical hot Friday afternoon which I still lying on my bed, yelling of PTT device which reporting "Taman Desa Jaya house on fire" get me out of the bed, as usual run to the car and rush to meeting spot. Topless again this time cause forgot my top. Haha. When I was the meeting point, seems nobody know the fire.

Then I quickly call my captain and he is not aware as well. We depart immediately after he came in within 1 min. But when we reached there, the fire was covered by government FD, and they assigned 3 fire engines there. After we confirm help no needed, then we leaving.

11 April 2010 - Bedong Shop Houses On Huge Fire!. Explosion occurred!!!

By 8.45PM, with several junior teammates, we are doing stuff that needed for our forthcoming dinner. After enough peoples was there, then I taught them what actually to do. After 10 mins, one of the senior teammate coming to meet our at temporarily meeting spot.

We all were wondering why both of them came with full set of fire duty dress code. Then they told me that is fire at Bedong. We all dropped works then jump into our fire truck and depart. On the middle of way, other teams reporting the fire is huge. While we almost there, we already can see the fire on the sky. It was terrible sign.

When we reached there, it really a sucks case. We can see only the real huge fire. Once the fire truck stopped, I immediately jump off the truck. But too bad, truck need to moved for looking for water source, I was left there. Once the truck leaving the first stop point, then a explosion occurred, it was a huge one untill I am stunned several seconds then just realized that I should have run. It was my very first time to be live in huge explosion fire scene. Real stunning. Here the video by firedog84( took by bedong people):

After the explosion, i still not really run pass there to find my team. But no choice, I have to and think it should not be a problem then I quickly run pass and take a task as pump controller since I got no complete firefighting  dress. At the same time, we found that water source is very low in pressure, once again it make the fire rescue duty tougher.

The fire is really huge, about one and half hour used to take the fire under-controlled. After three hours more tired duty we all were leave to home at 12.30AM. That time government FD still there since there fire not yet fully pull out. It is my first time to run fire duty for more than three hours.

30 Mar 2010 : Sg Lalang Shop House on Fire!!

Around 1AM, almost get into dream, thn got a call from capt asked to help out to move away the tree which fall on the middle of road after strong wind at yesterday evening. Just we cut the third branch, my capt phone ring and be informed there is house at Bandar Baru, Sg Lalang.

Immediately we drop this three moving mission then run home get our pant and other PPE then rush to the location reported. While on the middle of the way, other teams told the fire have been covered. Thus, we off the siren and slowly move there.

When we reached there, surprisingly we found government FD has assign 3 fire engines and other VFD was there too. At there we can see burnt tires in front the shop house and that shop house had been little affected. After been observe while and we can't do anything then we leave and continue our tree moving mission till 3AM.

29 March 2010 - Wood factory on fire....

By 7 something at the late evening, I was waiting for my favorite mee goreng as my dinner after long journey back from class and was listening to the conversation of PTT device. Suddenly SP Leong shout: "Everybody hold on, there is factory fire at Bakar Arang". I was thinking should I wait for my mee goreng to get done? When his voice get serious then I was told the boss that my dad will collect these mees and I have to urgently leave for the fire.

I run home, get my pant and car key, jump into car, on the hazard signal and rush to the meeting spot. While I been there, we found we don't have key to unlock the gate. I was just"Oh Damn". Luckily my friend asked his family to send in the key. Then we jump into the truck and get ourselves with the fire jacket and helmet.

When we reached there, three of government fire engines and another VFT were there and the fire is under-controlled. Then we move to the backside of the factory to give support. This time, our job is to spray the water to cool down the transferring track which believed burning inside it. This is to prevent further increase of the temperature which will upgrade the fire. When staff of the factory broke the track, the government fireteam take over our job and we leave.

While we getting out the factory, we found government Skylift was there and on operation already. This is first time for me to see Skylift operating at fire scene. Too bad don't have chance to take photo since we are leaving.

19 Mar 2010 : SMK Bedong on Fire!

After few days around here was peaceful without fire, here came a call while I hanging looking on my pc around 6 something at the evening. The call received at 6.53pm from a teammate of Bedong Voluntary Fire Team, BVFT through PTT device. Since his voice sound nervous, I'm expected something bad happen and rush to our meeting spot once he told there is fire on a secondary school.

Our truck depart once there is enough people. Once we reached there, fire engine of BVFT and government one already there. And because limited of water source, thus we can't do anything except standby to support those doing the job.The fire was under-controlled within 10 mins and there is 10 fire engines reached, 7 are belong voluntary fire teams who came and ready to support.

10 March 2010 - Busy evening

Just had my operation reports done by 6 something then going to have my lunch (yup, just lunch). While i sit on the dinning chair, i hearing my team is responding to a call. Damn, PTT service again missed the important message. Well, it just a forest fire at Bakar Sampah (kind of huge fire), so I just continue my lunch. While I wanna get my first "mouth" of my lunch, my PTT device tell, "There is house fire in Taman Intan". Holy shit!! Have to delay my lunch again.

I run out my house, get on my bike and take my PPE from my car bot. Then stress my bike to the limit, hmm... at the same time I felt my bike is getting older and older. It's terribly slow. After about 10 mins, I reach there and contact friend for another team to locate their position. After meet him, he told just a small little grass fire. Damn, how could they report is a house fire (i mean the person who call to report)!! Then I follow their fire truck back to the fire scene of first call, Bakar Sampah. On the middle of way, another call reporting the is explosion happen in a shop house at Taman Batik. But we don't move there but back to Bakar Sampah to help our teammates cause there didn't cause serious fire. While heading it, I nearly get a ticket from police cause break the red light, but the police let me go later when he know I rushing responding a fire. Haha.

While I reach there, the fire almost undercontrolled. After pouring some water on those dry trees then we end our task here. My team is moving to explosion scene while me and another teammate were heading home due to safety reason (sky is going dark and my bike don't have headlamp. XD). On the middle of way we going home, we found a little fire happen beside the SP Golf Club. We asked support from another team fire tender cause we can't find any water source here (my team truck don't have tank).

After I reach home and bath, actually my teammates is responding to another fire which happen at Taman Arkhid, forest fire again. Gosh, so many cases (4 forest/grass fire and an explosion) with a short evening. My friend who been the explosion scene show my some photo taken over there. It really shocked me. Newly built shop houses just destroyed like this by a explosion only.

Double storey  shophouse now become single storey.

Nearby shophouses are seriously affected too.
