Wake up kind of early today, 10am then get one of my favorite breakfast, "Wan Tan Mee". After the breakfast and get back to front of my laptop, my CRSM device calling and said : "Batu Dua there seems got house fire!" I quickly get my stuff and leave to meeting spot. But too bad, the truck leaving so I have to go myself together with another one that late. This is first call in 2011 I'm responding.
It's kind of mad to rush on the street without siren. Quick and carefully bypass every junction, then reach there quite late already and fire been controlled. So I'm almost doing nothing until my teammates ask for substitute at front line. So I've replaced him and continue spray to reduce heat that hidden. Government operation leader came to me and ask me go inside the building to avoid wasting of water, then does I. This operation end after water of second volunteer squad that support us run out. Four wooden terrace houses totally destroyed. The village is packed with fire trucks from numerous fire squads, around 11.

11 August 2010 : Jalan K.Ketil, Sg Petani
I think this should be second day of Muslim celebration of Hari Raya Puasa, a call through CRSM device saying house fire at Jalan Kuala Ketil. Me and my crews quickly get off to it due to it's house fire. However while we almost reach, the fire was successfully pulled off by gov FRD. It's kind of pity to the Malay owner of the house. It's happen during their celebration.

31 July 2010 : Laguna Merbok Cars Fire
A wake up call for my sweet dream by around 6am, call is telling : " Bomba Semeling standby, standby, a report said there is house fire at Laguna Merbok". "Oh god, it is house fire" in my mind. Get all my gears then run to out off the house like usual in messy way. While reach the meeting spot, not even got time to suit up my uniform until get into the truck and change in the middle of way.
Kind of nervous because we might be the first team reach there, however, while we are there, government FRD already there and get the fire out. And it's just burnt the vehicles in front of the house and little affect at front. So we just check out a while before leave for early breakfast.

17 June 2010: Taman Kuala Muda Resident House Fire
By the evening, I was lying on the bed, then the CRSM walkie-talkie is calling: "601 calling 620, 610 calling 620, there is report of fire in Taman Kuala Muda, and MB Bomba please responding". Maybe been so long didn't out for duty, I'm so nervous until forgot get my cloth out. When up on the fire engine, I just use the fire jacket to cover me. XD
The siren is blowing all the way. But when we reach there, the fire had been covered by government FD. So we not doing anything. The house almost totally destroyed, and its only one affected. Luckily there is no injury or dead. Kind of pity the residents, crying non-stop. After sometime, then we move back.

11 April 2010 - Bedong Shop Houses On Huge Fire!. Explosion occurred!!!
By 8.45PM, with several junior teammates, we are doing stuff that needed for our forthcoming dinner. After enough peoples was there, then I taught them what actually to do. After 10 mins, one of the senior teammate coming to meet our at temporarily meeting spot.
We all were wondering why both of them came with full set of fire duty dress code. Then they told me that is fire at Bedong. We all dropped works then jump into our fire truck and depart. On the middle of way, other teams reporting the fire is huge. While we almost there, we already can see the fire on the sky. It was terrible sign.
When we reached there, it really a sucks case. We can see only the real huge fire. Once the fire truck stopped, I immediately jump off the truck. But too bad, truck need to moved for looking for water source, I was left there. Once the truck leaving the first stop point, then a explosion occurred, it was a huge one untill I am stunned several seconds then just realized that I should have run. It was my very first time to be live in huge explosion fire scene. Real stunning. Here the video by firedog84( took by bedong people):
After the explosion, i still not really run pass there to find my team. But no choice, I have to and think it should not be a problem then I quickly run pass and take a task as pump controller since I got no complete firefighting dress. At the same time, we found that water source is very low in pressure, once again it make the fire rescue duty tougher.
The fire is really huge, about one and half hour used to take the fire under-controlled. After three hours more tired duty we all were leave to home at 12.30AM. That time government FD still there since there fire not yet fully pull out. It is my first time to run fire duty for more than three hours.

Immediately we drop this three moving mission then run home get our pant and other PPE then rush to the location reported. While on the middle of the way, other teams told the fire have been covered. Thus, we off the siren and slowly move there.
When we reached there, surprisingly we found government FD has assign 3 fire engines and other VFD was there too. First Time Been Deadly Fire Scene
After I been joining Volunteer Fire Team of Semeling which established at my hometown for several months, finally I'm in mood to start record my experience as a volunteer firefighter. For the first post of this blog, it would be a sad case which happen early morning of 23 February 2010 at Jitra, Kedah.
About 1am, I'm having late tea with friends at favorite spot which called Panjang after finished my last minutes company profile. After had a mee goreng, then we have some chat about fire incidents with two other newly joined teammates. Suddenly, Bomba Kedah, a channel of PTT for fire reporting is reporting there is fire at Jitra which burning a building. At that time, I'm not really want to leave the tea cause we are one hour drive far away from there. Until they told the fire is huge, then we decided leave to standby at our temporarily dept.
I called my captain and ask whether want to turn out or not, but he refuse because it's too far. Then a friend from other team asking want to go there by personal, then I answered yes and meet him with bringing three other teammates. After while my captain was came over with personal car with two other teammates as well. Then we together depart to the fire scene.
After about 50 mins drive, finally we are there and there are so many fire trucks. And the fire was under controlled as well. We observing how other teams work cause we are so new and need to learn as much as possible.
